まくじり【幕尻】

【相撲】 〔末位の幕内〕 the lowest rank in the senior grade; the lowest-ranking wrestler in the senior grade.

●幕尻で後がない. When you're at the bottom of the senior grade, there's nowhere else to go (except to drop out of the senior grade).

●幕尻に下がる drop [be demoted] to the lowest rank in the senior grade.
